Did not have full hookup but did have a dump on site. This was our first trip with our brand new camper. This is a Corp of Engineer Campground and is very well maintained and clean. Take a picnic lunch and go lake swimming at a recreation area or rent a pontoon boat on nearby Hartwell Lake. The campground wifi is available throughout the park.
It is given out following our Big Weekend, and is in effect for one year. We would highly recommend this facility. Virtually all sites are right on Lake Hartwell, and if you have a boat or a jet ski, dating consultant you can pull right up to your site.
Our game room has a pool table, air hockey, foosball, ping pong and pop-a-shot basketball. Site had both a firepit and a grill along with a picnic table. The only drawback in this campground are the ants. We brought along our canoe and really enjoyed Lake Hartwell, you need to keep an eye out for the boaters as some of them aren't as considerate as others. This is a fully wooded park with most sites spaced far apart and fairly level.
Bath house near our site seemed newer than the other bath houses. Overall the place is really nice if you want to fight off the ants. We stayed in the deluxe cabin near the office. Campground is very quite and sites are located on the lake waterfront. Check-in was fast and efficient.
We've camped here for years and always find it enjoyable. There is also broken playground equipment and trails marked off with caution tape. Visitors are welcome to drive through the picturesque property and cross the bridge.
- Get a good sleep and prepare to face Atlanta or relax after coming through at the end of your driving day!
- Another good thing is you're close to several stores for supplies but still feel you're in the middle of no place at the campground.
- We coated the power and water lines with vasoline stopped them cold and made a quick trip to the local Ace Hardware who knew exactly what we were dealing with.

Features subject to change. We use Comet brand cleaner and it works well. However, there is usually an emergency number you can call to get one of the workcampers out of bed to come unlock the gate in case of emergency. Reservation and check in was super easy.
- Staff was helpful and friendly.
- The Campground was quiet they have a nice miniature golf course.
- The lake was low so the mud is knee deep on the shore line.
All campsites are pretty level, many are pull-through. We're continuing to improve our Campground Owner Management system and more enhancements are coming soon. Then the yellow jackets come by air. Pavement all around campground. But perhaps you are just traveling through and don't have time to check out the area this visit.
